You are talking about another country, another belief.
Look at our own country, our own faith.
I think Hindus themselves are inflicting damages on their
temples. Every week on an average in TamilNadu, atleast one case
of idol getting displaced to get any gold or gems buried under
is being reported.
Every big temple in South India has so many business men inside them.
You have to shell out money for every thing.Contracts are being
auctioned for shop space,taking care of shoes and what not?
We need a person like Jesus Christ 'to drive the money minded
morons out of our temples'.
I belong to Madurai. We have the most beautiful sculpture
of Goddess Meenakshi getting married to Lord Shiva.It is
a masterpiece and one of the most divine sculptures in
the world. Today you will see cobwebs on it.Of course everyday
thousands of worshippers file past the sculpture.It does not bother
anyone.
In the same temple more than a 100 paintings 300 years old
were simply white washed and destroyed forever.Just because
the former CM was supposed to visit the temple.No body in
TamilNadu bothered about it either.Had anyone dared to defile
the statues of political figures the case would have been different.
On the other hand, you may have heard about Sabarimalai
where pilgrims visit a Masjid before taking the arduous journey
to Lord Ayyappa's temple.There are several places like this in India.
I request you to discard the ill will you have towards our
neighbour state.Let us keep our house in order first.
