The State University of New York (SUNY) Press has in the last few
years published excellent literature on the poet-saints of Maharashtra.
You may perhaps find references to what you desire in their publication,
"Jnaneshwar's Gita" by Swami Kripananda.

Btw, I have two paperbacks with me, both slim, charming and engaging,
written by Shri R.D. Ranade and re-published in 1994 by SUNY. The titles
are "Jnaneshwar" and "Tukaram" and they should be locatable on the shelves
of mainstream American bookstores. The former has v good discussions on
the Jnaneshwari and abhangs.

ps: Both the last-named books were first published in 1933 by Shri Anant
Vinayak Patwardhan of Poona. I wonder if he was the son of the eminent
musician-scholar-teacher Pandit Vinayakrao Patwardhan.
