I am looking for any information concerning Hinduism and how their
relationship with the environment/nature is perceived. Any suggestions
of literature that might be helpful on this subject would be greatly
appreciated. I am also curious about the sacredness of cows in India.
Is this strictly a Hindu belief? I have read some of the history on this
subject (cows, their status, how various leaders have felt about what
the status of cattle has done to India), and would just be interested in
anything regarding the symbolic and literal sacredness of cows in Hindu
culture. Thanks.
