: There certainly does. No example can be found in any statement of the

Shrisha, I have no problem with this phrase being used in our time,
especially based on the following definition found in the American
Heritage Dictionary:
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
science (s¦ns) n. Abbr. sc., sci. 1.a. The observation, identification,
description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of
phenomena. b. Such activities restricted to a class of natural phenomena.
c. Such activities applied to an object of inquiry or study. 2.
Methodological activity, discipline, or study: I've got packing a
suitcase down to a science. 3. An activity that appears to require study
and method: the science of purchasing. 4. Knowledge, especially that
gained through experience.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Certainly the six Goswamis' extensive documentation of the topics relating
to bhakti constitutes a science of bhakti. And bhakti is Krsna
consciousness or perhaps Krsna consciousness is bhakti. If asked is there
a body of knowledge of bhakti, clearly I would respond referring to the
voluminous seventeenth century works of the Goswamis of Vrindavana.

The methodology: Arm yourself with detachment and yoga. Remember Krsna
and do not forget Him. Et cetera. And that is the important thing:
gradually purifying our honest desire to know Sri Krsna - not for fame,
not for intellectual pride, not for material benedictions, etc. etc. etc.
oh my, etc. etc. etc.

Nice to see you're still around, Shrisha. Jaya Radha-Madhava.
