I'm writing a paper about a place referred to in the Mahabharata (1,19 or
1,119) and the Puranas (the Markandaeya Purana, I believe) and I'm
wondering if you are familiar with the place, the characters, or the
references. Can you provide me with any information about the following,
or suggest where I might look to learn more?

Hemkunt
Lokpal/Lakshman Kund
Sapat Shring
Pandu Raj (where he performed penance)
Rishi Medhasa of Durga Saptashati
