I do remember reading that when Lord Krishna is killed by
the arrow of a hunter that strikes his padam (inner portion of
his foot) and that the entire lineage of both the Pandavas, the
Kauravas and Sri Krishna's own lineage ends after that
(Pradyumna etc are wiped out in eventual wars that follow). May be
this is not the dissolution of the entire material universe
but it is definitely an explanation as to why historical
records about him or his lineage have not been maintained.
As far as material universe dissolution goes I think the
material you have there is correct.
