Hi Mary,

I have been introduced to C.S Lewis and his teachings by some Indian
Christians. The conclusion I came to after discussing things with these
people was that C.S Lewis was just using trying to find a means of
preaching to the Hindus, in a hope to convert them.

I was given a book and briefly read it and can only stick to the above
comment. Perhaps I need to read the book I was given but I have seen writer
like Lewis who write similar things to convert people. Perhaps one of the
people I saw in India was Bade Griffiths who has Christian Idols in the
form of Hindu Deities and uses Hindu mantra's rythms to chant some Bibical
prayers.

Bade Griffiths the last I heard of his visit in Australia now says there
are many things in common between the faiths. I just don't know what to
believe any more. I would rather stick to the correct authority on these
matters and that is the relavent religious instructions in my case the
Vedas, the Bible in other peoples cases.

I know of a number of very good translations of the Vedas that will enable
you to understand them better.

Regards,

Sunil
