There is nothing to be confused about. The soul is the real us and is the
REAL EGO where as the body is the FALSE EGO.
According to the Gita Sri Krishna tells Arjuna, when he is faced with his
kith and kin and didn't want to fight and was lamenting :
Arjuna there was not a time that we did not exist nor shall there be a time
that we cease to exist.
The soul is eternal and the body is temporary. The body is also known as
the sensory field and is a medium through the soul (which is sprite) can
interact with the material world.
Did they create life ? Who created the material to create life ? Can they
bring to life a dead person or being ? If Krishna did not want the soul to
enter the body then there would be not "life" in the material sense. Who
owns the material energy ? How was it (material energy) created ? Without
the basic building blocks created by Krishna they would not be able to do
anything. This is just a manipulation of material energy and nothing more
or less. It seems a lot because it takes so much time, study, etc... but
Krishna does not require any such thing !!!
