Hi!
I am looking for litterature on the religious context of charas, ganja
or bhang. I have noticed that quite a few sadhus are smoking charas, and
that one of Shiva`s apects, Shankar, are connected to this herb. Though
I have problems finding references to this in literature on hinduism.
Even books which deal especially with the sadhus fail to mention this
connection, though they often picture the holy men smoking their
chillam.
If anyone have any suggestion about books which cover this topic or can
fill me in with some details, I will be very thankful.
