NEW DELHI, June 16 (UPI) -- Separatist Islamic guerrillas have gunned
down three Hindus in strife-torn Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir
state.
The Press Trust of India reports that the militants singled out the
three Hindu passengers from a bus, dragged them out of the vehicle and
shot them at point blank range.
The execution of the three Hindu teachers in Udhampur district is the
latest in a series of random attacks on civilians by dozens of militant
groups who have been fighting for eight years to end Indian control over
Kashmir region.
In 1993, the militants had killed 14 Hindu bus passengers in a
similar raid.
