matsya - fish. The collective five is called the pa.ncha makra. However,
note that this is not "the shakta path" but rather vAmachAra, _one_ of
the branches of shaktism. This is _not_ mainstream shaktism and has been
denounced vociferously by the classical commentator laxmIdhara.
There are lots of people (I have met a few myself) who follow the
_proper_ shakta worship. Most of vAmAchara is merely a glorification of
crass hedonism and the regular worshipers of shakti don't consider it as
essential, in fact they denounce the very concept of pa.ncha makra.
