My brother is marrying a Hindu women, we are Roman Catholic. They plan on
having two ceremonies; one Catholic and one Hindu. I would like to know what
will be involved with the Hindu ceremony and what is expected of the groom's
(my brother) family.
I understand that Hindu ceremonies can take on many different forms and
different timeframes. I don't believe that the bride's family is strongly
religious, therefore I don't believe that the ceremony will be completely
traditional. Any information that you may have on inter-religious Hindu
ceremonies or more "Americanized" (if you will, I do not mean to offend
anyone with that term) Hindu ceremonies would be greatly appreciated.
The only information that I have is that the ceremony is one day and the
celebration is the next day. Thank you in advance for any information anyone
can help with.
