NAMASTE is the most popular Hindu greeting [eastern] performed by pressing the two hands together and holding them near the heart with the head gently bowed as one says, NAMASTE [ NA-MASTE]. This gesture of holding both hands together is known as ANJALI MUDRA. There is a great symbolism behind this greeting. Both hands depict DUALITY like Yin and Yang or positive or negative forces and bringing hands together, a Hindu is affirming to the world SINGLENESS or ADVAIDA.
