: : : : Does anyone know how a person can become a Hindu? Is there
: : : : a ritual involved? Thanks for your help....
: : You cant convert to hinduism, you have to be born a Hindu. If you like the concept of a nondualistic religion you can convert to Buddhism.
: : You might want to read up on them.
: What non-sense. A non-Hindu telling Hindus what their religion will or will not accept. Anyone can become a Hindu.
: In Reply, I myself am a non Hindu being born in Britain etc. I have studied Hinduism for years and can understand the great interes
that people feel for the life, culture, religion, philosophy.
Many aspects of Hinduism have had a personal and emotional effect on myself.
If these ideas make sense to you embrace it into your life and make it personal.
The biggest question i have is why convert why do you have to make it public / official.
It seems that so often what we believe in chages why put yourself in a box.
Hinduism is probably the only faith that can give followers this ammount of freedom. By asking for conversion
you are taken a step away from hinduism rather than one toward.
