Mahabharata Dice Game

I am intrested in the dice game played in the Mahabharata (2.52).
Is the game still played, or is there a modern incarnation?

As I understand it, the dice are 4 sided, sort of like
several normal 6-sided dice glued together to form a
bar, with the two ends being conical so that the dice
can not land on the ends.

If you are familiar with this game, or could provide
any information, I'd very much apprecialte hearing
from you.
