Response:

If you introduce yourself to me and let me know what your traditional religious and cultural background is, and what prompted your interest in Hindu way of life, I will then be able to provide you with a correct road map. To give you the correct road map, I need to know where you are going. You need not and should not talk about yourself on this forum, but you can e-mail the information in confidence to me at: dharma@hindunet.org

In Hinduism, there is a doctrine of adhikara, which states that religious instruction should be given based upon the religious and spiritual competence of the seeker. Since there are numerous approaches in Hinduism (all leading to the same goal), Hinduism does not push every seeker in the pigeonhole of the same creed. This is why I need to know a little more about you before I can provide the correct road map.
