: My father just died and because he was very addicted to his roots in Goa/India
: we would very much like to find a typical hinduistic "wisdom, device, poetry" for the first page of his
: announcement of death (parte). All above we would like to write it in Sanskrit !
: Could you please be so kind to submit at least any info, because unfortunately we do not
: know to much about it.
: We are living closeby Vienna/Austria.
: As a matter of fact we don´t have too much time.
: Thanks a lot in advance

Dear One:
In my opinion, the most appropriate Sanskrit verses you can use may be found in Chapter 2 of the Bhagavad Gita. I would suggest one or both of the following verses:

Vaasaamsi jirnaani yathaa vihaaya, navaani grhnaati naro ‘paraani.
Tathaa shraraani vihaaya jirnaany, anyani samyaati navaani dehi.

As a man leaves an old garment and puts on one that is new, the Spirit leaves his mortal body and puts on one that is new.

Dehi nityam avadh
