Response:
Hindu samskaras (popularly called rituals) is a vast subject in itself. What you need to do is to go to a public library (or a bookstore such as www.amazon.com, that specializes in Hindu religious books) and locate books that discuss samskaras. A brief discussion of Hindu samskaras associated with wedding and child-birth can be found on the book: The Hindu Mind (ISBN 0-9634798-4-9).
