Om Namah Sivaya is the mantra of Lord Siva. It means something like
Blessed be Lord Siva. I see that you posted this question some time
ago and I hope that by now you've gotten an answer. I just felt
compelled to answer because I know that Swami Chidvilasandanda's
organization gives Westerners only as much Hinduism as it thinks we
can handle, going so far as to teach mantras without mentioning the
deities they invoke. I have met devotees of gurumayi who did not know
they were part of a Hindu religious group. If someone can explain
this to me please post a response.
Thank you.
