I am a novice meditator ( about 1 & 1/2 years ) and I have a question
for those who have been following some (any) path for long periods of time
and feel qualified to answer.
I have always heard and read that all paths lead to the same goal, but
recently I have been hearing otherwise from a few people.
So my question is:
Do different types of meditation/spiritual practice lead to profoundly
different states, in the short term and long term? This could involve
different practices or initiations with different masters.
I know there are many paths, but is there one goal? And do the different
paths lead you to different states along the way?
