Mission Statement Of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America Seva Projects

MISSION STATEMENT  FOR   THE   SEVA    PROGRAM    OF   PARISHAD

SEVA (SERVICE) PROGRAM of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Of America,
Inc.(VHP), is actively engaged in the international humanitarian
service since 1979.

The mission of SEVA (SERVICE ) is serve, through individual and
collective charitable programs, the human race at large  and
foster the general human health & welfare at local, regional,
national and international levels.

SEVA Program takes up activities, programs and services affecting
the general welfare of the community. Broad range of SERVICE
PROGRAMS  aim to promote Health & Welfare, Education & Social
Services and enhancing cultural harmony in the multi Cultural
world.

The SEVA programs and activities are conducted in accordance with
the Spirit of the Certificate of Incorporation of VHP. It enjoys
the tax-exemption status through the Internal revenue service
under 26 U.S.C. 501(C)(3). SEVA accounts for funds in accordance
with the generally accepted accounting principles and is audited
by the independent certified public accountant.

SEVA Program is in compliance with all requirements of law and
regulations concerning nondiscrimination and equal opportunity
with respect to its board, management, funding sources and
provision of programs services.

The SEVA includes broad categories of humanitarian services
promoting Health & Welfare, Education & Social Services, and
enhancing Cultural harmony in the multi Cultural world.

Currently, the following programs are  offered under the general categories of:

A. HEALTH & WELFARE :
  1. Relief Works - Assistance for major disasters         
  2. Emergency Support for Critical Care
  3. Support to Health facilities & Hospitals              
  4. Sponsorship of  Health Camps

B. EDUCATION & SOCIAL SERVICES :
  1. Educational Grants, Scholarships & Training      
  2. Support to educational institutions
  3. Community Development Projects                        
  4. Support to Social Service Organizations
  5. Support - A - Child Program  for needy children in India.
  6. Vanvasi SEVA  - Services of Underprivileged  tribals in India.
  
C. CULTURAL HARMONY:
  1. Support to Cultural & Religious Centers
  
D. DESIGNATED SEVA FUNDS:
  1. Human welfare Fund                
  2. Critical Care Fund
  3. Relief Fund                       
  4. Social Services Fund
  5. Excellence through Education Fund      
  6. Cultural Heritage Fund
  7. Your designated trust fund
