God Is? Was? Why? What? When? Where? Shall? Will?
God Is? Was? Why? What? Who? When? Where? Shall? Will?
Partha Banerjee asks several questions on the existence of God:
"The question is, where is God, the Savior? Is He really existent?
If He is, why doesn't He save these poor people -- men, women,
children (who are mostly believers) from such disasters? Otherwise,
why would it be outrageous to believe that the concept of God is
nothing but a hoax?"
God is Why! What! When! Where! Who! Which! Shall! Will! Is! Was!!
Human life is full of experience and with lots of questions!
Science answered those questions for which factual data were
readily available. Religions tried to explain questions for which
data were not available. If Science can explain all the questions
without ambiguity, there will be neither religion nor God! As long
as some questions remain unanswered, religion will explain the role
of GOD in human life. The existence of uncertainty in our daily
life explains the existence of God! Can human intelligence ever
explain all uncertainties with no ambiguities? An answer of Yes
implies no God and an answer of no implies the existence of God!
Science can explain how to grow a plant from a seed or seeds from
a plant. But it can't determine which came first? Religion will
assert that existence of plants, trees, animals and human beings is
an act of God! Science can neither accept nor reject such claims!
That which can be explained with human Intelligence is SCIENCE.
Religion begins to answer questions left unexplained by Science.
RELIGION attempts to explain GOD, THE SUPER INTELLIGENCE, which is
beyond human LOGIC. Religious explanations are accepted only with
BELIEFS and not by LOGIC! Human intelligence is able to ask the
question, WHY CALAMITY? But we require SUPER INTELLIGENCE to
understand the reasons for calamity! Religions persuade us to
understand GOD, THE SUPER INTELLIGENCE.
Let us assume a society that experiences no uncertainty, no death,
no sorrows or sufferings. What questions are left unanswered in
that society. Will that society accept the existence of GOD? No!
Certainly not! Human intelligence is will explain all that is
happening! No super intelligence is neither necessary nor useful!
Life becomes TRIVIAL and DULL! Thank God that we don't live in
such a society! Thank God that our life is full of surprises and
uncertainties!!
All religions emphasize the importance of suppressing the human
intelligence to understand divinity. Divinity is only visible in
the absence of intelligence! Sorrows and sufferings are created
through human intelligence! Plants with no intelligence do not
experience sorrow and sufferings! We can experience the presence
of God in plants and trees! Plants do no show hatred or
displeasures. Flowers bloom magnanimously without any
reservations! An apple tree rewards you with apples when you throw
stones and damage their stems and leaves! Plants and trees act
without acting and God exists without present!
