About 2500 BC there was an advanced, largely urban civilization in the
Indus Valley. It's people practiced a religion some of whose aspects were
integrated into hinduism which was the religion of the invading Aryans.
My question is - Where did the Aryans come from? Were they local to India
or did they come from the West? The Aryans brought the Vedas with them
(atleast in the oral tradition) and spoke and wrote in Sanskrit; If they
indeed came from the West why isn't there some influence left behind,
either in language or in religion?
Thanks in advance
