* Paramacharya remembered with reverence
Kanchipuram Dec 29 (pTI): glowing tributes were paid to
the late pramacharya of kanchi kamakoti peetam, sri
chandrasekendra saraswathi swamy on the first annivarsary of
his attainment of siddhi here today.
former president, mr r venkataraman, the assam governor, dr
lognath mishra, the andhra pradesh governor, mr krishna kant,
the madhya pradesh chief minister, mr dig vijiay singh were
among those who participated at a function to mark the
occassion at his brindavan.
dr lognath mishra described the parmacharya as the moving
god. ''he was not a saint, but an avatar of god', he said
adding that the best way to remember him would be to follow
his preachings.
he said under instrucions from the late acharaya, the
firstever eye hospital in the north eastern states, was opened
last year at guwahati. a vocational training institute, yet
another wish of the puntiff was also coming up in assam.
