Did Sri Ram eat meat?

This is a counter question to Hare-Krishna-ites in the net, who make
a habbit of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda bashing on the grounds of their meat-eating.
Now I understand that you regard Krsihna as Supreme and deem others to be
demi-gods. I would like to know how you view Rama? Do you accept both
Rama and Krisna to be avatars of the (same) Vishnu? Now I think there are
instances in the Raamyana where both Ram and Sita are depicted as eating meat

How do you explain this?
