	(chomp)

This is a sloka, along with obeisances to Guru and Hari, from
the Bhagavad Gita, 4.24. Here is the verse and translation:

			brahmarpanam brahma havir
			brahmagnau brahmana hutam
			brahmaiva tena gantavyam
			brahma-karma-samadhina

"The absolute spiritual world is certainly
to be attained by he (or she) who is fully
absorbed in devotional service, in which the
offering, the person who offers it, the ghee,
and the fire are all fully spiritual."

In other words, a person who is fully absorbed in the absolute
activities of serving Krsna is guaranteed to return to the Lord's
abode, by dint of his or her service, in which all the components
are on the same absolute platform, each of them being either Krsna
or one of His many energies. In devotional service to Lord Krsna,
everything becomes spiritualized by its contact with Krsna, even
things which are otherwise material. Thus food offered to Krsna
becomes spiritually beneficial 'prasada' and we make gradual
advancement when we regularly honor it.

Reflecting upon this important verse should inspire us to offer
our pure foods to Lord Krsna before eating. Thus an otherwise
banal routine will become a chance to make spiritual progress.
	Hope this helps...
