On Wednesday, July 26th, 1995, Dave Lambert, President of the Sri
Sathya Sai Baba Central Council of the United States of America
announced via email that the International Sathya Sai Seva Organization
has begun development of an extensive home page on the World Wide Web
dedicated to the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. A proposal,
including an international plan for its accomplishment, was presented
to Swami in June 1995, and Sai has now given his blessing to the plan
and to the use of his name.
Among the highly qualified individuals taking the initial steps in
developing this Net site are Dr. David Gries, Professor of Computer
Science at Cornell University and Dr. Sampath, previous Vice Chancellor
of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Puttaparthi.
Recognizing that it will take substantial time, knowledge and effort to
bring this project to fruition at the quality level befitting the
subject, the working committee asks for the help of devotees in two
ways:
If you have expertise which you believe could be of help, and you have
the time and desire to help, please reply to aq974@lafn.org and advise
of your willingness and your capabilities.
Secondly, the organizers respectfully ask that all Sai devotees refrain
from setting up, (as well as from encouraging others to set up or
maintain), anything which might detract from, compete with, or
otherwise reflect on this project, or on Swami. Your patient
understanding in this matter is sought, welcomed, and appreciated.
