Sanskrit: an Easy Introduction to an Enchanting Language or SEL,
written by Professor Ashok Aklujkar, is available from Svadhyaya
Publications.

The price of each set (text plus cassettes), inclusive of handling
and surface postage is Canadian $70.00, if mailed within Canada, and US
$70, if mailed outside Canada.
In considering the price, please take into account the quality,
the long-term usefulness (SEL meets the students' needs definitely beyond
the first year), the nearly 700-page extent (divided into four convenient
physical volumes), the inclusion of five 90-minute cassettes, and the
inclusion of local taxes, handling, and surface mail postage.
To have the set air-mailed, please add US$15, that is, send US$85
for each set.
Buyers should not order sets without cassettes, since the
cassettes are an integral part of the SEL method and significantly speed up
the learning process.
All the SEL volumes are to be used together. They are not graded
textbooks or readers but together form a well-integrated whole of grammar,
vocabulary,and reading that takes the students to a stage where he/she can
begin to read on his/her own the Sanskrit of texts like the Mahaa-bhaarata.
Together the volumes and the cassettes become a self-sufficient
learning tool which can be used even by those who do not have access to a
teacher.
It is not necessary to purchase a dictionary or grammar while one
is working with SEL. It assumes no previous knowledge of Sanskrit and
constitutes a complete course for adult beginners.
As SEL is not being commercially advertised, your help in spreading
the information about it correctly will be appreciated. You may copy the
