Jiva is eternal, clay and clay pot is not.
Jiva is conscious, clay and clay pot is not.
Katha Upanisad "nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam" - He (Ishvar) is
eternal "nityo" among eternals "nityanam" (jivas), He is conscious
"cetanas" among the conscious "cetananam" and the verse continuse to
tell how the Supreme grants the desires of the infinitestimal jivas
who are all eternal "nityanam" which is a very important point to
keep in mind because advaita cleverly skips this mahavakya.
Anyways, I have specifically addressed the fallacies of the "swarna-gita"
of Shankara which is often used by mayavadis in my post "Vedanta (2 of 4)",
read it.

Yes, I did also put some specifics of the latest developments in the Big Bang
theory, like the most revered COBE (Cosmic Background Explorer satalite results),
etc. and their limitations as accepted by the scientists themselves. Another
interesting one is the Inflationary Universe theory, the list is long.
Anyways, I will be more than happy to discuss cosmology in any detail that you
may want specifically to establish that their is no link between what the
scientists are saying and what sruti (or even the advaitic interpretation) says.
