First Balaji temple in UK
The Sri Venkateshwara ( Balaji) Temple of the UK is a registered
charity, and has obtained a 13 acre site in Tividale, West Midlands, UK.
We have obtained prelim. planning permission to construct the first
purpose-built Balaji temple in the UK in the authentic style of S
Indian temple architecture.
The estimated cost of the total build is about 4 million. The 1st
phase, which includes a multi-purpose hall, landscaping of site and
office accommodation will cost 1.2 million. The charity has so far
raised about 0.5 million, and urgently needs to raise the rest of the
money for the first phase within the next 8-10 months, if the project
is not to fall through.
There are many ways to donate, for what will almost certainly be a
once-in-a-lifetime project. Perhaps the best way is to buy a silver
coin for the 'kasu mala' for 1008. UK residents of course qualify for
tax relief.
