I don't know about Assam, but what is there to argue about the Meenakshi
Temple in Madurai? Last time I was there (in 1994), the temple was still
still there; it was never demolished and replaced by a mosque.
(unless Partha is talking about some other Madurai :-); I am talking
about the one with Tirumalai Nayakkar Mahal, PoRRamarikuLam etc.).
