Well, there is a lot of Hinduism-based traffic on the Net in general;
for example, you can regularly find posts about the Manu Smriti on
soc.culture.indian. So, by providing one coherent unmoderated forum
(talk.religion.hindu), let us all aim at Hindu unity by providing a
unified place for Hindus of all shapes and sizes to discuss without
any moderators or organizations. This will also be an excellent place
to discuss politics, Ekalavya, Ambedkar, determinants of Hindu
defeats, and many other pressing topics.
Then, for those who prefer a setup (with room for debate but no
flames) like the current one, there will be the group that already
exists, but renamed for clarity. Finally, for informational postings,
book releases, temple openings, festival announcements, etc will find
their home on soc.religion.hindu.info, Hinduism's first moderated
forum free from debate and flames....

This is not true. Ajay Shah has been offered the position of
co-moderator for the SRH.* reorganization and refused it of
his own choice. We also gave him the draft RFD long before it
became public; we are disappointed with the current setup and
moderation policies -- this is not a personal vendetta (which is
more than I can say for some of the preachments in your article,
Bhatnagarji; please be more careful in the future!)

Yes, yes, bhai, but this is history. Let us all stand united
behind the platform of soc.religion.hindu reorganization, for the
good of dharma worldwide. This is our chief hope. Let us increase
the number of Hindu dharma adherents who have a unique opportunity
to preside, under a strict set of guidelines, over the newsgroup
soc.religion.hindu.

This is not true; neither Srinivas was involved in any way with SRV,
nor was Anshuman Pandey, nor was Raghu Seshadri. For that matter,
neither were Shrisha, Vivek, or I (although we publicly supported
that group). I think the only people involved in both proposals have
been Sri Henry Groover and Sri Mani Varadarajan.

Mr. Bhatnagar: Please stop making silly personal attacks.

Not true, for Rao+Vardarajan+pai [sic] will not be moderators
of the new group; they are proponents. Furthermore, you have yet
to show that this pack of wolves does indeed have hurt egos...
> - Rao et al: Please stop acting like net-gods. You aren't.
Rajubhai, let me remind you that such taunting will not help the
cause of Hindu unity that we proponents are trying to ensure! Such
personal attacks are old school stuff, and should be discussed at
length under the "Determinants of Hindu defeats" series. Let us
stand together, bhai, raise the tricolor and sing "Jai Hind! Jai
srh.* reorg"
