I=B4m a student studying multicultural issues. One subject is=20
hinducustoms. It is said that the time of castes/varnas is over, that=20
they have no meaning among hindupeople. Especially, if we speak about=20
hindus living in foreign countries. But is it so? What I have read and=20
seen while meeting hindus, I have noticed something else.=20
Hinduism is said to be very tolerant religion and culture. What about=20
castesystem in modern society? Why is it still affecting in social=20
relations? Has it some other meaning and value than old tradition?
I=B4m sorry if my questions hurt someone. It=B4s not my meaning. I jus=
t=20
want to undertand. And it is not that easy because of my "scandinavian"=20
thingking.
=20
With friendship
