SRH Reorganiztion Bias: Low Activity/Delays in Posting
Namaskar,
Some re-organization proponents have said that this newsgroup has
*fewer than expected* posts, and that is why they would like to see
this newsgroup multiply moderated.
I would like to point out a few facts, which might be useful.
1. The postings are made 4-6 times a week.
2. Some times, like yesterday, our news server was down, so we could not
make any posting, this after trying from about 9:00 am in the morning till
midnight
3. There was a prolong period of time, when the main news server was down
for hardware upgrades, and the postings could not be made
4. I am in a process of finding out, if I can use my personal account
for posting messages when I have connectivity etc. problems
Also, upon checking some of the religious newsgroups indicates that
soc.religion.sikhism, although created before SRH has fewer than 700
postings since inception. Soc.religion.eastern has very few postings, and
soc.religion.vaishnava has comparable no. of postings (althogh majority
contributed by 4-5 posters, but I admire their activity none the less)
Soc.Religion.Hindu has had around 800 posts in 3 1/2 months, so this
accusation of "low activity" does not really make sense if one takes
a non-biased approach.
Yet another point, emphasizing the distorted picture presented by the
proponents of SRH Reorganization
