At least one control message to remove the unmoderated newsgroup
alt.religion.vaisnava was issued by either Shrisha Rao or V.S. Pai
after they posted each other messages (in alt.config) expressing
their intention to remove the groups alt.religion.vaisnava and
alt.religion.krishna
Evidently, their idea was to force Vaishnava postings to only
one newsgroup -- soc.religion.vaishnava (moderated)
The present attempt to "reorganize" Hindu newsgroups is another
exercise on their part to control Hindu discussions under the
control of their "central authority."
Fortunately, not all USENET sites automatically honor "rmgroup"
control messages, although some do. If your site does not have
ARV and ARK available, you may wish to request your postmaster to
offer them.
