*if* he is god, is there a need for him to provide any justification?
*have* all the gods/prophets/sons of god been subjected to this test?
my question is: is *he* to provide justification or his followers? if
it is by his followers, how can we attribute their deficiencies (if any)
to him? and if the followers have no interest to "recruit", why should
they at all provide justification? and if he himself were to provide,
why are we asking Bon G?
i myself do not know if he ever claimed he is a god, since i am not
a follower (at all). but that does not stop his devotees from seeing him
as god. after all, there are many stories where gurus are viewed as gods
saints are viewed as god, et cetera. so what is wrong if someone
consideres him a god? and RSS workers view a small piece of stone
gathered in-situ as goddess, i understand. if one can see god in
non-living objects, what is wrong in seeing god in an intelligent
thinking guru?
further, even *if* he does not claim to be a god, his words can be
construed as proclaiming that he is. for example, Shri ramana maharshi's
addressing of Shiva in a poem as father in a particular way prompted
some deciples to claim that he is an incarnation of karthikeya.
if the threads on sandeha nivarini... is any indication, Bon G
is not asking anyone to believe him to be a god. he believes, and
he brings his *god*'s message in the thread.
that actually leads to an interesting question: is there a definition
of god, and does Bon G need to define his view of god before beliving
in god? when i was a kid i asked how can he be a god, and some one
gave this reply: if parasuraama can be a god (i am not demeaning here,
just showing the complexity involved in substantiation from common
man's perspective) why cant he be? ofcourse i could not give a reply
then, nor can i now.
just some thoughts.
