Re: ARTICLE : conversion amendment to FAQ
Your a little off on some of the things your saying.
For example, one can convert to Hinduism. Of course there are many
different branches - but if one converts to the Ramakrishna branch of
Hinduism it just means they have a different focus then perhaps the devotee
in the Jain branch.
But - the both can and should call themselves Hindu.
This is exactly like converting to Christianity. You may choose the Baptist
branch of Christianity but you and the catholic are still both Christians.
Hinduism is absolutely not a collection of different religions. That you
are absolutely wrong on. It is a collection of different Holy books and
Holy teachings but they teach the same thing. Hinduism was the first
religion/culture in the Indian subcontinent - So, actually the other
religions were inspired by her teachings.
Absolutely the Gurus of these different temples do want dialogue. Most love
a person who challenges their intellect and are not shy to ask questions.
Many will even hold meetings in which people of various faiths can
challenge them on different issues. That is the great thing about Hinduism
- they are not afraid of communication.
I am not sure where you derive your perceptions of Hinduism. It obviously
can not be from first hand experience. Please don't spread such false
information. Find out the facts first.
Thank you kindly
