I can only conclude that you don't know how to read English. I merely
said that sha.nkara has quoted none other than VP. I did not comment on
whether any of the others are "authoritative" (sic) or not.
As far as I am concerned all 18 puraNaas are pramaaNa whenever they
don't contradict vedas. This is the position of all genuine vedantic
schools.
