In that case, I suppose your sentiments in the past concerning the Shiva
Puraana were not those of a genuine vedantic school (you know what I
mean... I'm talking about the time that you said you would never accept
what any Puraana had to say about classifying the Puraanas unless it came
from one of the taamasic or "nonVaishnava" Puraanas). Now that information
about the classification has been provided, it must be accepted unless
information can be found in the shruti which explicitly contradicts it (as
per your statement on the position of "all genuine vedantic schools").
So, since you now seem interested in the "position of all genuine vedantic
schools" do you now accept the threefold classification of the Puraanas? I
am merely asking out of curiosity, not to challenge. If you say that you do
accept it, I won't hold it against you or anything. I will just assume you
had a change of heart.
