It is not falsely attibuted to Madhva by the Gaudiiyas; at least, I am not
aware that any Gaudiiya aachaarya has made such an assertion. The claim as
far as I know is solely that of one translator who independently translated
and published the Tattva-muktaavali. I'm sure he meant well, but I don't
know how he came to the conclusion that it was one of Madhva's works. The
Tattva-muktaavali speaks of bedha and abedha (which is not a characteristic
of Dvaita philosophy) and also mentions that its author learned from one
Naaraayana Bhatta (whoever that is -- I never heard of such a name in
association with Madhvaachaarya).

I'm sure it was more of an innocent mistake, owing to less than admirable
standards of scholarship.
