HELP : Diwali / Deepavali
Hi,
I'm a volunteer working with young primary(grade) school children in
Singapore and am celebrating/introducing Diwali to them this Saturday.
I've so far gotten abit of info on how to celebrate this day.
But can anyone tell me THE story of Diwali? I'm confused between the
few stories. Anyway how do we celebrate Diwali/Deepavali, esp in the
Singaporean/ South East Asian context. And is it the New's Year's eve
for Hindus? I'll appreciate all info that can enlighten me abt this
beautiful festival. International stories about Diwali and Deepavali is
welcomed too.
P.s BTW I'm not a Hindu, but would like to share Deevapali all the
same.
