REQUEST : Info Wanted On SRI DHANVANTARI and AYURVEDA
Namaskar,
I am writing a paper for a medical anthropology class and have been
searching for information on Sri Dhanvantari, avatar of Vishnu and
Ayurvedic medicine in present day India. Specifically, I am interested
in knowing if Ayurvedic medicine or Western medicine is preferred among
the majority of Indian people today and what percentage of the population
goes to Ayurvedic clinics or uses home remedies. Are traditional
remedies considered old-fashioned? If you have any information or
titles of sources please e-mail me.
