I am not a follower of Satya Sai Baba, but this unctuous post provided
me the best laugh in a long time. Most traditional gurus from India hold
the BG in reverence and point out stuff from it to their disciples. I
don't see why Satya Sai Baba teaching from the BG makes him a
plagiarist.

So I suppose I can take it that Srila Prabhupada plagiarized from the
Gita and other "Vedic" (sic) instructions so that some one would care to
listen to him.

Or may be you expect more profound, extremely original teachings of the
genre "We are made of matter, Lord Krishna is made of anti-matter"
etc? :-). Indeed such "originality" is hard to find, I must agree. But I
hope you'll kindly excuse Satya Sai Baba, and as a matter of fact, many
others, who are unable to rise to such heights of originality and for
"plagiarizing" from the BG.

Please also advise us mortals on who owns the copyright for the BG. I
wouldn't want to get thrown into the slammer for quoting the BG without
permission.

Ramakrishnan.
