Prambanan is Hindus temple, and Borobudur is Budhist.
They are both a living temples and a historical monuments.
Prambanan was built long before Borobudur (800 AD), and there was
no interaction between these two temples, because they are
different. There is one WWW site where you can find pictures
about Borobudur: http://www.umanitoba.ca/indonesian/borobudur.html
Alas, I have no WWW site about Prambanan.

Every full-moon, there is Ramayan dance performed at Prambanan
temple. Eventually, Prambanan is the largest Hindus temple in
Indonesia. But for Indonesian Hindus, Pura Besakih of Bali is
their mother-temple.

BTW, do you know that there is a legend of Javanese people telling
that the Temple of Prambanan was built for only one night?
