It's simply actually. The Lord is simply giving people what they want. Because
no one wants to hear that they are eternally subordinate to Him, the Lord
gladly gives them some monist philosophy and allows them to spend their lives
in eternal mental speculation.
Lord Vishnu is so kind that he gives His servants exactly what they want, even
if that means misleading them. The Lord does not need our devotion, but He
gladly accepts it when we give up our stubborn ideas about trying to be equal
to Him. If we refuse devotional service, then just to appease our religious
sentiments the Lord gives us some impersonalist philosophy so that we can go
on feeling religious without engaging in His devotional service.
