This statement is totally illogical. Are people only allowed to participate
in one group? For example, I post on several cultural, religious, computer,
and music groups. Who is "they" in this instance?

Once again, it's the "we vs they" mentality. I'd like to point out that
I'm willing to bet that I've been an active participant on alt.hindu
and soc.religion.hindu far longer, than, for example, you. So, you might
want to rethink this attempt to paint others as outsiders.

Finally - a religious question.

If Krishna were to force things upon people, what would be the point?

Not surprisingly, this has been "sorted out" ages ago. God allows
free will, and that's why things are as they are. If God dictated
everything, and forced everyone into "loving service", then would
there be any meaning to it?

Actually, I would've guessed that _all_ translations of the Bhagavad Gita
are a "plug" for Krishna. Remember how the Gita ends:

18.78

"Wherever there is Krishna, the master of all mystics, and wherever
there is Arjuna, the supreme archer, there will certainly be opulence,
victory, extraordinary power, and morality. That is my opinion."

And that came from Sanjaya, not Srila Prabhupada. So, with advertising
like that, isn't every copy of the Bhagavad Gita a pretty good pitch
for Krishna?

To re-establish religious principles?

This assumes that the rest of the universe is somehow devoid of God's
presence or appearances, and I find that hard to believe.

Too easy?
