Re: rules regarding Administrative changes

Dear SRH Readers,

Namaskar,

Vivekji's question regarding "what constitutes consensus" has been
answered adequately on this forum and privately. There is, in my
opinion, at this time no further need to codify the Administrivia
procedures on this newsgroup.

Briefly, the procedure is as follows.

Anyone can suggest improvement in the functioning of the newsgroup.

If it seems aggreeable to a reasonable no. of people we implement the
changes.

This, in my opinion, reflects a very open nature of moderation.

As a moderator, I also suggest and implement changes to the newsgroup
(such as the rules regarding sexual matters on the newsgroup), and I have
a clear mandate to do this (as per the responses from the moderators newsgroup).

And after all, if a moderator does not seek to improve the functioning
of the newsgroup (through administrivia etc.), moderator would have
failed to perform his/her duties.

Vivekji's repeated questioning on this issue, even after so many messages
explaining the policies can only be explained by his clearly politically
motivated call for SRH re-organization based on personal vendetta against
this moderator.

After all, he has, to my knowledge not raised any questions regarding
codifying the procedure for modification/addition of keywords in the
bot-moderated soc.religion.vaishnava.

May I urge the readers of this newsgroup to look at the proposed
"codification" request in this light?

regards,

ajay shah
