Divine Mother
The following is an extract from a discourse on the Divine Mother by my
Teacher, Sivananda-Valentina. I hope that it will inspire others the

You see, my Child, the nature of this world in which you find
yourself does not deserve the Benevolence of Mother only. She is the
embodiment of all Beauty, and how can this world take it? It will sell
it immediately. Thus, Her other aspect, the Divine Destructoress. And
that has to be admitted and accepted, it is a factual thing It is not
only gewalt! - now we come to the calamity, - it is all the time, all
the time purging and cleansing. She is the scorcher, the Destructoress,
and it is only Her Touch which tests your imperfection. Her destruction
and destructive fury builds your spirit and leads you to Her
transcendent Glory. So this is only a prep school, and the Glory is the
finale of this school and the beginning of the next, ad infinitum. She
appears as the Time-Spirit in the cycles and in the epochs, in the
changes of the one into the better one - a world-wide destruction
because it is simultaneous with creation. Out go all the old forms, in
come the new ones.
