Pam, the greatest tower of all is described in the 5th Canto of the
Srimad Bhagavatam as an enormous inverted cone, 600,000 miles high at the
centre of our world, which reaches up to the heavenly beings. It is known
as Mount Sumeru or just Mount Meru.
The Bhagavatam is perhaps difficult to find, but the lay book by Richard L.
Thompson "Vedic Cosmography and Astronomy" may be in your library.
