If you have experienced delays in news postings, they are
due to hardware problems at netcom. Here is the report from
unofficial motd (amotd) on netcom system :
05/31/96 19:30 PDT (gburnore) expire 06/04/96
Subject: News still s l o w
SUm news is, SUm news isn't. Netcom?

Subject: News frozen up again
The shell news server has processed no news since before midnight PDT.
Presumably this'll get fixed later today, but it may take a while to
catch up on the backlog.

However, there is good news around the corner. The srh account on
rbhatnagar machine is finally up and running, and I will utilize that
in case of problems here. I wish I could say the same for my
personal account @mercury.aichem.arizona.edu. That one, is still
down.
